S= starting position

E= end position

if d1 = 3

d2 = 5

S= 0

E= 4

then:

    +3

0          =4

    +5

because in a free dimensional space , anything goes.

Displacement too would be

S-D=E

Where each is a selected number because any unknown direction could lead to that point.
