Their is a debate weather numbers are real or false, and some even say they exist somewhere else, this is all true because they represent parts and so are things that are also not parts, because they are numeral in nature , meaning they represent specified parts of a part but are and are not the part in question, so they are between reality and fiction but do exist as a part between, because 1/3 of a cup is a part , the 1/3 in this case represents the part o the cup.
Further still, 1/3 of a cup and 1/3 of a cup can also not = each other as they can be different 1/3rds of the cup.
